Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne.
As I think back over this past year, I am reminded of the many blessings that God has bestowed upon me. A new grandson and a new puppy are what immediately come to mind. Little Sam is such a happy little fellow and is rarely without a smile even when he has the sniffles. My Lilah Rose is my constant companion and she does my heart good since the passing of my Little Bear.
There are, of course, many other blessings and trials (blessings in disguise?) that have occurred over this past year. I try to give thanks for them each night and hope to awake each day with eyes that see God's hand working in my life.
Writing has become second nature and I am ready to return to it after a brief hiatus for the holidays. I do not aspire to write every day for fear of running out of interesting things to say. My husband says this would never happen but I do not believe it to be so.
What is new is old and what is old is new once more. Thus my return to one of my very first outlets of writing, here, at By Lantern Light. I hope that you will join me in discovering the beauty in ordinary days and some not so ordinary.
